Hajnówka
District town,
situated on the western edge of the Białowieża Primeval Forest.
Being connected by the network of roads with the furthest spots of
the forest, it is a perfect place to start excursions around the
forest. There are: The Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, The
Museum of Belarussian Culture and the Museum of Ironwork and
Blacksmith Craft. |

Białowieża
Commune seat
village in the middle of the Białowieża Forest, it is both
historical and scientific centre of the Forest, there are many
interesting sites of The National Park, sacral objects, remnants of
Tsar’s buildings and wooden architecture of the village itself. |

Czyże
Commune seat
village; it is the home for many former beekeepers from the Bielsk
Forest, windmill from the 19th century, behind the village on the
cemetery there is the Orthodox Church of Saint Kosma and Damian. |

Dubicze cerkiewne
Commune
seat, it is the home for many former shooters and beekeepers from
the Białowieża Forest, there is the Orthodox Church of the
Providence of the Holy Mother, a house with straw roof from the 19th
century, Dutch windmill on private yard, the Recreation Centre
„Bachmaty” by the artificial lake (with equipment hire and bathe). |

Klejniki
Village of the
Klenikowicz family, created by the means of combining of Omilianowo,
Burzyce and Klejniki villages, there is the Orthodox Church of the
Holy Transfiguration in the village. |

Kleszczele
Town and
commune seat, town set in 1523 by the royal court, there are the
Church of St. Zygmunt and the Orthodox Church of the Asleep of the
Holy Virgin, town rights were given back in 1993. |

Village
on the edge of the forest, former centre of dealing with wooden ash. |

Narewka
Commune seat
village. In the 19-20th centuries 80% of the inhabitants were Jewish.
There are: the Orthodox Church of. St. Nichoals, Jewish cemetery,
Centre of Sport and Recreation and bath there. |

1631, the Orthodox Church of the Holy Ascension, Apiculture Open Air
Museum. |

Szczyty - Dzięciołowo
Village from 15th th century belonging to the Russian Szczyt family,
then to the Irzykowicz familly and finally to J.W. Węgierski, who
built the church and other buildings in the village e.g. parish,
pub, cow-shed and barn. There is the Orthodox Church of the
Beheading of St. John the Babtist, with a figure of St John
Nepomucen from 1785 in front of it. |

Former village
of guards of the Bialowieza Forest, there is the Orthodox Church of
the Elevation of the Holy Cross founded in 1769 by J. Wilczewski. |
