Objects in Białowieża National Park |
THE
EUROPEAN BISON SHOW RESERVE IN THE BIAŁOWIEŻA NATIONAL PARK
Animals showed:
bison, Polish horses Tarpan Typ, hybrid of bison and farm cattle
called żubroń, deer, roe-deer, elks, wild boars, and wolves;
exit from the route Hajnówka – Białowieża (approx. 3km before
Białowieża),tel.681 23 98; open: 9 am – 4pm (open Every day during
summer season); tickets available there. |

FOREST
AND NATURE MUSEUM IN BIAŁOWIEŻA
The multimedia
permanent exhibitions of flora and fauna of the Białowieża Forest,
temporary exhibitions and a watch tower with a view over Białowieża
and the Strictly Protected Area.

THE
STRICTLY PROTECTED AREA
The most
precious part of Białowieża National Park (entrance only with a
licensed guide, groups up to 25 people; tickets available in PTTK
offices and in the BNP). |

THE PALACE PARK
Created
around the Emperor’s Palace at the end of the 19th century. There
are 89 species of trees and shrubs planted there. It is a beautiful
place to go for a walk.
In the Park, there are numerous historic buildings like the former
hunting manor house constructed in 1845 (nowadays, the seat of the
Natural Education Centre) and the modern building of the Natural
History Museum. |

THE HWO¬NA
PROTECTION ZONE
It is northern and still underestimated area of
the Białowieża National Park, there are three tourist trails which
make it easy to visit it. The biggest attraction of this area is the
viewing tower in Kosy Most. |

3 PLN–reduced
The Natural History Museum: 12 PLN–normal, 6 PLN–reduced
Visiting of the Museum only with the guide, in groups up to 15
people.
Guide charge not included in ticket prices. |
