Objects worth seeing: The Natural History Museum,
The European Bison Show Reserve, the Strictly
Protected Area, the King’s Oaks Track, the
educational path „Żebra Żubra” (Bison’s Ribs),
the Palace Park, the Orthodox Church of St.
Nicholas the Miracle Worker with ceramic
iconostas, as well as: the Centre of Nature
Education, the Centre of Forest Education
“Jagiellońskie”. The route of excursion depends
on the participants time and interests. |

HAJNÓWKA NEIGHBOURHOOD
Car route – Hajnówka, Orzeszkowo, Topiło, Długi Bród, Werstok,
Wojnówka, Starzyna, Jodłówka, Opaka Duża, Dobrowoda, Kleszczele,
Jelonka, Dubicze Cerkiewne, Stary Kornin, Stare Berezowo, Szostakowo,
Nowoberezowo, Hajnówka.
The most attractive places on the route are: the Heritage Museum of
Belarusian Culture „Baćkouśćyna” and “Stefan’s hut” in Nowo Berezowo
and the sanctuary of silence near the ponds of Topiło where there is
the education path “Forest Peculiarities”, as wellas the artificial
lake „Bachmaty” in Dubicze Cerkiewne. Meeting the inhabitants of
this region, learning about their cultural religious and historical
background may be an additional attraction. The original wooden
architecture is worth seeing. Lenght of the route - 90km.

VISITING HAJNÓWKA
Places worth
seeing: the Orthodox Church of Holy Trinity, Museum of Belarusian
Culture, the Museum of Ironwork and Blacksmith Craft, Narrow Gauge
Railway, visiting of the town market on Wednesday and Saturday. |

HAJNÓWKA NEIGHBOURHOOD
The
route starts in Hajnówka (exit on the road 685 to Białystok), on the
7th km in Nowosady turn to Narewka (road 687), after 18km’s ride you
reach Świnoroje (the educational path Under The Oaks), then you go
to Narewka (1,5km) - from Narewka you go on the road to Białowieża,
going straight to Gruszki (3,5km), where the Forestry Browsk is (Forest
Chamber can be found there), later you go to Siemianówka (9km),
where you turn to Babia Góra, to reach the watchtower by the
artificial lake (3km), you come back to Siemianówka and go to
Bondary on the road leading to Tarnopol (14,5km), from Bondary (there
is a dam) you come back to Hajnówka (road 687), through Narewka and
Nowosady. The route is about 100km long. |

THE LAND OF OPEN
SHUTTERS (PUCHŁY, TRZEŚCIANKA, SOCE)
The route
starts in Hajnówka – take the road number 685 to Białystok, through
Narew (21km) and after 32km’s drive you get to Trześcianka. The Land
of Open Shutters may be seen by driving from Trześcianka to Soce
(3,8km) - then to Puchły (14km) – and come back to Trześcianka
(4km): length of the route is 107km. |
